The purpose of the public hearing is to take evidence pursuant to an Order of the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas under date of January 14, 2026, remanding the case of Swatara Township v. The Swatara Township Zoning Hearing Board and Route 441 Associates, LLC. to the Zoning Hearing Board to hold a hearing to supplement the certified record. This matter concerns property located at Harrisburg Street and Orchard Drive in the Township, parcel number 63-024-128, where the Township’s Zoning Hearing Board granted a special exception for a 288-unit apartment development project that resulted in the reduction of 117 required parking spaces. The Township Board of Commissioner’s appealed the Zoning Hearing Board’s decision to the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas.
