Notice of Public Hearing – February 1, 2023 at 7:15 p.m. Amendment to Chapter 295, “Zoning” to permit auto service stations by right in the C-L Limited Commercial District; to define “spanner sign”; to permit certain signage on canopies and fuel dispensers located at an auto service station; and to establish specific criteria for auto service stations in the C-L LImited Commercial District.

Zoning Hearing Board – April 13, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board of Swatara Township, Dauphin County, PA will meet to conduct its business at 7:00 pm on April 13, 2023.  The Board will then hold public hearings for cases presented to it.  The meeting will be held in person at the Swatara Township Administration Building located at 599 Eisenhower Boulevard, Harrisburg, PA 17111.  This facility is accessible to persons with physical disabilities.

During this meeting, the Board will conduct a public hearing regarding Case No. 2023-005:

  • Free Solo Media – appeal of the decision by the Township Zoning Officer denying the erection of a billboard, or in the alternative a variance to construct a billboard on a commercial property that is less than the required distance from another existing billboard.  The subject property is located off South 29th Street behind 2800 Paxton Street in the Limited Manufacturing (M-L) zoning district.  The Uniform Parcel Identifier is 63-024-011.

During this meeting, the Board will also conduct a public hearing regarding Case No. 2023-006:

  • Craig Eshenaur – request for approval of a Special Exception to conduct retail propane sales, other than prepackaged sales on an existing commercial property.  The subject property is located at 3815 Tecport Drive in the Limited Manufacturing (M-L) zoning district .  The Uniform Parcel Identifier is 63-027-290.

Zoning Hearing Board – May 18, 2023 at 7:00 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that the Zoning Hearing Board of Swatara Township, Dauphin County, PA will meet to conduct its business at 7:00 pm on May 18, 2023.  The Board will then hold public hearings for cases presented to it.  The meeting will be held in person at the Swatara Township Administration Building located at 599 Eisenhower Boulevard, Harrisburg, PA 17111.  This facility is accessible to people with physical disabilities.

During this meeting, the Board will conduct a public hearing regarding Case No. 2023-007:

  • George E. Williamson, G W Signs, has applied for dimensional variances needed to construct a proposed building on a vacant property that will replace a building being taken by PennDOT for the Eisenhower Interchange project.  The subject property is located on the southwest corner of Paxton Street (Route 322) and Chambers Hill Road in the General Commercial (C-L) zoning district.  The Uniform Parcel Identifier is 63-042-014.

During this meeting, the Board will also conduct a public hearing regarding Case No. 2023-008:

  • Jared M. Knaub, Knaub Rabon Enterprises, LLC, has applied for a dimensional variance needed to construct new buildings as part of the proposed Eisenhower Boulevard Self Service Storage Units development.  The subject property is located in the 1100 block of Eisenhower Boulevard adjacent to Serb Park in the General Commercial (C-L) zoning district.  The Uniform Parcel Identifier is 63-062-102.
